Dash Point State Park is a very popular park for its water recreation possibilities. It is situated on Puget Sound between King and Pierce counties. The territory of the park is 398 acres with more than 3,300 feet of shoreline. This is a great park for family recreation, for sea-life study. Visitors enjoy the fabulous views of Puget Sound, great beaches and cozy atmosphere.

Dash Point State Park is a great gem for the residents of Seattle, Tacoma and Federal Way. Residents of these cities are fortunate to have this park in the midst of business and residence areas. A great place to escape from busy cities and enjoy views of Puget Sound.

Another advantage of the park is that it is freely accessible for people with special needs.

There are 2 covered picnic shelters that can be reserved, and there are 20 unsheltered picnic tables, that are reserved at the first-come-first-served basis.

Boating is also available for canoes, kayaks, etc.

There are 11 miles of hiking trails and 8 miles of biking. One of the most popular hiking trail is Dash Point State Park Trail, an easy loop trail. This labyrinth of trails offers different options for you to choose. The trail features a river and is good for kids and hikers for all skill levels. Dogs are also allowed on leash.

The land of the park was sold in the late 1940s by the McLeod family to the State of Washington, but the park was developed in the area only in 1962 for the Seattle World’s Fair.
